How to unlock Darth Vader skin in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3

Darth Vader has finally arrived in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, after leaks teased the iconic Star Wars character's debut on the Island. Since then, the Sith Lord was briefly featured during pivotal moments of the Fortnite Collision live event and was later showcased in the Cinematic and Gameplay trailers.

Vader's arrival to Fortnite comes after returning to a galaxy far, far away in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series streaming on Disney+. So naturally, players wanting to turn to the Dark Side of the Force will be happy to learn about the Sith's arrival. If this is you, then look no further. Here's how to unlock the Darth Vader skin in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 – How to unlock Darth Vader skin

The Darth Vader cosmetic is locked behind the latest Fortnite Battle Pass and becomes unlockable once players reach the 100th tier. Unfortunately, this means you'll have to grind extensively throughout the season before becoming the Sith Lord or spending ample V-Bucks, not Credits, to attain the cosmetic.

This season's Battle Pass will function identically to previous seasons, which will have you collecting Battle Stars, which you can use to purchase cosmetics in the Battle Pass. However, you'll still need to progress through every tier before unlocking Tier 100 to acquire the Darth Vader cosmetic.

However, you need to have reached Level 90 or have claimed at least 90 rewards from the Battle Pass to unlock the tier eventually. Once unlocked, you'll need nine Battle Stars to purchase the skin before dropping onto the Island and using the Force to eliminate your opponents.

You can also obtain other galactic rewards within the Battle Pass, including a Darth Vader Pickaxe and Loading Screen. Additionally, some rumors suggest that the lightsabers may be a Mythic or possibly unvaulted weapon in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

In the meantime, we can enjoy the Sith Lord taking a little break on the Fortnite Island Map with a few Stormtroopers close by, as seen in the Cinematic trailer. While this won't last for much longer as a long-awaited duel with a familiar Jedi awaits him on the Island.
