This doesn't mean additional content won't make its way to the game, as they confirmed that "there’s lots of content coming in the current Season. We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises."
Season 1 of Chapter 2 ran from 15th October to 19th February, a five-month period many fans believed too long.
Yes, many substantial changes that initially excited the player base - like an overhaul to the map - but the content roadmap became too stale for casual fans and the original enthusiasm for a revamped Fortnite experience lost momentum.
With that feedback, Season 2 originally was going to last just three months, starting a day after Season 1 ended, and it's now going to be prolonged an extra month.
