How to disable a tank by damaging the engine in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

Fortnite chapter 3 Season 2 brings along with it new content and features that will change the way players engage in the Battle Royale. One of these new changes is the addition of the Titan Tank that now roams the battlefield. 

There are a few ways to deal with this massive piece of weaponry, but the most effective we find is taking out the engine and causing it to overheat. To find out how to do that, keep reading, as today we'll show you how to damage the engine of a tank to disable it in Fortnite.

How to damage the engine of a tank in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

There are a few ways to take about tanks in the new Chapter 3 season 2 of Fortnite. You can try blowing it up, going for the driver, or taking out the tank's engine to stop it dead in its tracks. The last option mentioned isn't as dangerous as the other two methods since taking out the engines can be done from a distance, making it possibly the most ideal solution. 

To destroy the tank's engines and cause it to overheat, simply target the two panels at the back of the tank and damage them with any kind of gunfire you choose. This will cause the engine to become damaged and overheat, stopping the tank right there, and leaving you free to approach the tank in any direction to destroy it permanently.

Once the tank is down, you can use a few methods to put it out of commission permanently. Either use C4 (which has now been added back to the game) to take down the tank completely, even when at full health. Or you can go straight to the tank and destroy the panel in front of it to reveal the driver and take them out. 

While the Tanks can seem overpowered at first, they aren't impossible to take down. So long as you know how to go about it, by stopping its movement by disabling its engines as we've outlined, or you can shoot its rails to slow it down. Then moving in for the permanent takedown. If you use this advice, the tanks won't stand a chance against you.
