Fortnite is the epitome of pop culture, featuring crossovers from many notable franchises like Avengers, Star Wars, Dragon Ball Z, and more. However, one crossover that many fans have wanted but never gotten is with the Die Hard franchise.
Ever since John McClane's name was discovered in the leaked court documents from Apple versus Epic Games trial in 2021, fans have been yearning for a Die Hard crossover in Fortnite.
Interestingly, Epic Games never teased such a collab until now, leading fans to speculate yet again that a Die Hard Fortnite crossover is on the horizon.
Epic Games CEO tease Die Hard collab in Fortnite
The speculation began after Epic Games CEO Donald Mustard Tweeted a picture containing a miniature model of the building from Die Hard with the caption, "Amazing gift from one of my best friends. And yes, imo it’s the greatest Christmas movie of all time."
Mustard is known for posting cryptic tweets that tease future Fortnite collabs. As such, this latest Tweet immediately caused many to speculate that a Die Hard crossover is finally happening.
Coincidentally with Fortnite Winterfest 2022 approaching, it seems like a perfect time to bring a John McClane's skin and bundle in Fortnite.
Unfortunately, neither Epic Games has officially confirmed the crossover nor have data miners found anything in the game files. As such, fans will have to wait a little longer to find out.
Fortnite Winterfest 2022 update should be part of the next weekly refresh, which, thankfully, ain't far.
