The Arcanist class has produced incredibly powerful builds since the Necrom chapter release in June 2023. This is due to its Crux mechanic, which lets you generate crux that can be utilized to unleash powerful attacks, all of which can be enhanced with a new Mythic item.
The Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet is one of three Mythic items that arrived with the Necrom chapter, which players must obtain its leads and locate the dig sites in order to form the set piece. This guide details where to acquire leads and for which Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet set piece in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO): Necrom.
How To Get The Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet Mythic In ESO: Necrom?
The Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet is a Mythic accessory piece added to the game through the ESO: Necrom chapter. As with every Mythic item available in-game, players can obtain this ring through the Antiquities system, which can be unlocked by completing the Antiquarian Circle questline in Solitude, Western Skyrim.
This grants you access to its adjacent Skill Lines for Antiquity and Excavation, which using and upgrading these skills, allows you to scry and dig up rare items throughout Tamriel. For the Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet, you'll need to have your Antiquity Skill Line ranked at Level 7, which lets you scry Mythic items.
Once its leads are scryed and the pieces discovered, you can form this Mythic item to equip to the Ring slot within your Inventory. When equipped to your character, it will add an Offensive Penetration buff and increase damage dealt to monsters by 15%, giving you a Minor Force effect and decreasing all damage done by Light and Heavy Attacks by 99%.
This Mythic item will fair well with builds that aren't dependent on normal attacks for consistent DPS despite the reduced damage dealt through Light and Heavy Attacks. This may work wonders for the new Arcanist class, especially when weaving in Light Attacks to proc set bonuses and paired with the Deadly Strike set can significantly increase damage dealt over time.
All Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet Mythic Leads & Locations In ESO: Necrom
To obtain this valuable Mythic item, you'll need to pursue all its leads found across Tamriel in various ways. If you have a handful of the game's dungeon DLCs, this may be half the work done, as two leads are located away from Apocrypha and the Telvanni Peninsula.
There are five set pieces to excavate for which its leads can be found in various ways throughout Tamriel. If you're planning to obtain some of the leads from dungeons, you may need to do multiple dungeon runs before bosses drop the leads and you can start scrying each of them to uncover its final location.
