The latest game update for The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has arrived on PC and Mac this March, with a console release planned for later this month. Launching alongside Update 45 for the base game on 10th March 2025 is the Fallen Banners expansion, which welcomes two more challenging dungeons to explore and brand new gameplay Quality-of-Life (QoL) improvements and optimizations.

This latest DLC is available for players with an ESO Plus membership, which can be purchased in-game from the Crown Store or their dedicated or preferred storefront on consoles and PC. However, developer ZeniMax Online Studios has stated that there will be more ways to obtain the DLC in the future, and we'll update this news page once that information has been disclosed.

A new dungeon expansion has launched for The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), in which two more PvE dungeons have been added as bonus content for the base game. The Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt dungeons arrive with new stories to explore and unravel, "challenging foes" to encounter and defeat, and plenty of rewards to claim for those brave enough to "step up to the challenge."

Players are tasked to defeat "Orpheon the Tactician and his army of deserters" within the Lep Seclusa dungeon after this emperor discovers that an Elder Scroll is hidden somewhere at this monastery. Within the darkness of the Exiled Redoubt dungeon, they'll have to unravel the mysteries of the Albus family's remaining fortress and learn of its secrets to thwart the schemes of the family head, Cato Albus, with some assistance from "a returning character."

There are plenty of rewards to claim by clearing these respective dungeons, including a new monster mask, item sets, and new Achievements that players can unlock by meeting specific requirements. The “Fallen Banners Scout” Achievement is unlocked to players by completing the Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt dungeons, for which the Exiled Goldenrod dye will be their reward, and the “Fallen Banners Delver” Achievement is obtained by clearing both dungeons on Veteran difficulty to gain the Tactician’s Gold Lattice skin.

The Fallen Banners expansion is available now for PC and Mac alongside Update 45 and can only be accessed by players with an ESO Plus membership. The dungeon DLC will launch for PlayStation and Xbox consoles on 26th March 2025 with the base game patch update, which features refreshed visual designs for starter zones, increased base mount speeds, and UI cleanup for the Tamriel map, to name a few.
