The Index chamber is a central hub for the Endless Archive, where players can return after completing a Cycle within the chaotic halls. Additionally, this is also where players can find Master Malkhest to begin the Margins of Ire quest and can find the Watchling merchants, Filers Tezurs, and Ool to exchange Archival Fortunes for various items available.
What can also be found within the archive are unique consoles, which, when interacting with them, can reset your lives or your progress. If you wish to learn how to achieve this, continue following this guide on everything about the Runic Thread Weaver and Reset Hourglass in The Elder Scrolls Online.
How To Reset Threads For The Endless Archive In ESO
During their exploits within the halls of the Endless Archive, they’ll encounter various enemies that seek to eliminate them. So, keep a watchful eye over the lives or threads during Stages or Cycles, as they’ll only have three lives, which, if used, will end your run.
But there’s a way to manage the lives or threads, allowing players to essentially release any remaining before restarting their Endless Archive run. Resetting of lives or threads can be done within the Index Chamber by interacting with the Runic Thread Weaver.
This unique console isn’t too far from where they can find Master Malkhest, and releasing these threads concludes their time in the archives and view progress and buffs (Verses and Visions) utilized. It’s worth noting that should their Companion or friend lose a thread, players won’t lose a thread by default, but should they lose a thread, their Companion or friend won’t lose one, either.
How To Reset Progress For The Endless Archive In ESO
Much like resetting lives or threads in the Endless Archive, players can also reset their progress, which goes one step further. This can also be done from the Index Chamber by locating the Reset Hourglass, which too is near Master Malkhest and is quite recognizable by its large hourglass shape.
Found on the northwest side of the Index Chamber, interacting with the hourglass will wipe your entire Endless Archive run, all progress, Verses and Visions, and your lives or threads. While resetting your lives will post your progress to the Leaderboards, resetting your progress won’t, so do be careful when attempting to reset in the Endless Archive.
