The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO)'s tenth-anniversary celebrations roll over into the new month with refreshed Daily Login and new Anniversary Spotlight rewards ahead of Update 43's console launch just around the corner. Developer ZeniMax Online Studios announced a new platform update, allowing ESO players on PC to enjoy exploring Tamriel on the go.
The Elder Scrolls Online can now be enjoyed wherever players choose to play as the developer is "thrilled" to confirm the game's Steam Deck status. ESO is officially "playable" for Steam Deck as owners can begin or continue "Tamriel's Second Era using the portable PC gaming device."
ZeniMax Online Studios made the announcement in an official developer post on the ESO website, confirming the game's Steam Deck status. While it still has a way to becoming Steam Deck verified, for now, it will still demand some "manual tweaking" to play the game on the gaming device.
"If you play on Steam and have a Steam Deck, simply find the game in your Library to begin the download. Note that while the game is now officially “Playable,” it won’t have full “Verified” status until a future update, meaning you might encounter some unexpected UI issues," the studio wrote in the developer blog post.
ESO players who are experiencing technical issues running The Elder Scrolls Online on the Steam Deck can submit a support ticket via the official Steam Support portal here. Meanwhile, Update 43 will be heading to consoles shortly, as the forthcoming patch launches on 4th September 2024, as players can claim their Daily Login and Anniversary Spotlight rewards.
