The Elder Scrolls Online’s Update 40 has arrived for PC and Mac as players begin their adventures by venturing into the Endless Archive. With countless enemies to encounter and defeat, and plenty of rewards to collect, players can get a first-hand experience of the archive by speaking with Master Malkhest.
This is how players can begin the Margins of Ire quest, which introduces them to the gameplay mechanics of each Stage and Cycle while collecting fragments before defeating the final boss. If you're interested in completing this quest, learn how to get and complete the Margins of Ire quest in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO).
How To Complete The Margins Of Ire Quest In ESO
The Margins of Ire is a quest players can collect from Master Malkhest, awaiting them at the Endless Archive's Index Chamber. They can also pick up this quest from the Crown Store for free under the Featured tab before making their way to the archive from the map or when in Apocrypha.
Speak to Master Malkhest, who'll give players a set of quest objectives to complete in which they'll need to track down Tho'at Replicanum by finding nymic fragments. Additionally, this quest helps players gain insight into how the Endless Archive is laid out, where the Portals of the Unknown are, and how the Verses and Visions work.
To begin the quest, use the Archival Wings to be teleported to start their pursuits of the Endless Archive, as you'll need to defeat the Maligraphies throughout the three Stages to complete the first Cycle. After defeating the Maligraphies, you'll receive the first nymic fragment and can loot the Muniment Chest, whereby you can begin the next Cycle. But don't forget to choose your Verses and Visions after each Stage and Cycle.
This will be repeated for the subsequent three Cycles (nine Stages), where you are to defeat the enemy waves to acquire three more nymic fragments to have four fragments total now. With the fragments collected, merge them to summon the Tho'at Replicanum in the final Cycle, which players must defeat to complete the first Arc of the Endless Archive.
Before turning in the quest to Master Malkhest, who awaits players at the Index Chamber, don't forget to loot the Muniment Chest for rewards, like Archival Fortunes, that can be used when visiting Filer Tezurs or Ool. Use the Archival Wings portal to travel back to the Index Chamber and speak with Master Malkhest to complete the Margins of Ire quest, where he'll hand you 415 Gold and XP for your efforts.
