ESO Necrom: How To Start Necrom Chapter

A few weeks following the PC launch of The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO): Necrom, console players will finally get to explore the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha. With access to new dungeons, Zone Quests, companions, and more, players jumping in are trying to determine how to reach the new locations.

There are a few ways you can start the Necrom chapter and work your way through the Zone Quests to unlock Achievements and rewards. We've detailed in this guide how to begin the Necrom chapter in ESO: Necrom.

How To Start The Necrom Chapter In The Elder Scrolls Online

The Necrom chapter includes two new locations, the home of the City of the Dead, the Telvanni Peninsula, and Hermaeus Mora's realm, Apocrypha, for players to explore. These locations are deeply connected as you can travel between them using a secret portal within Necrom City to access the Endless Library and Chroma Incognito.

As for how to begin your adventures for ESO: Necrom, you will need to have a copy of The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Necrom or the Deluxe Collection: Necrom before traveling from any Wayshrine at your current location to the Necrom Outskirts Wayshrine. This Wayshrine will be unlocked by default for all players and is the easiest way to access this visually stunning location.

However, if you have The Elder Scrolls Online Standard Edition, you must have purchased and installed The Elder Scrolls Online Upgrade: Necrom or Deluxe Upgrade: Necrom. As mentioned above, you can travel to the Necrom Outskirts Wayshrine from any Wayshrine closest to you in-game.

Should you wish to try playing as the new character class, the Arcanist, you can complete the tutorial quest to reach the Keywright's Gallery. After you've completed the tutorial quest, and have made it to Keywright's Gallery, you can begin your journey by choosing one of the available portals here.

Each portal will take you to a different location within Tamriel if you've acquired the previous game chapters: Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr, Greymoor, Blackwood, High Isle, and Necrom. You'll need to locate the portal taking you to the Telvanni Peninsula, for which you'll arrive at the Necrom Outskirts Wayshrine, and you can begin the Zone Quest by speaking with Leramil the Wise at the Wayshrine.

Once you've spoken to her, you must advance with the Fate's Quest quest before meeting her at the Necrom Bindery. Here, you can find two portals that will take you to the northern (Chroma Incognito) or the southern (The Endless Library) side of Apocrypha.
