During your explorations of the Endless Archive, players will face countless enemy waves and terrifying bosses that are randomized for every Stage and Cycle or when completing challenges inside the Portals of the Unknown. While players can complete a Stage or a Cycle alone, bringing a Companion or another player is well-advised to avoid an uncertain death.
Once they’ve cleared a Stage, Cycle, or portal challenge, there is an abundance of rewards on hand. which one of these unique rewards is a new type of gear called Class Item Sets. This resourceful guide explains what are Class Item Sets, including their stats, and how to acquire them in The Elder Scrolls Online.
ESO Class Item Sets Explained
Class Item Sets grants players an array of buffs to enhance their abilities across the game’s multiple Classes. According to developer ZeniMax Online Studios, these item sets also provide “synergy with specific Skill Lines,” which can be valuable when working on builds for different playstyles, classes, specialties, or PvP/PvE.

Additionally, these Class Item Sets can be purchased from the Endless Archive’s merchants, Filer Ool and Tezurs, whom the latter can be found at the Archive’s Index Chamber. You will need the dungeon’s exclusive currency, Archival Fortunes, which can be traded for boxes with Class Item Sets.
Detailed on the PTS Patch Notes for Update 40, the developer explained how players can find Class Item Sets in the Endless Archive. “Curation rules in Endless Archive dictate that you will find your class’ set items first. After receiving the entirety of your class item set, you will get drops from the other classes.”
As the progress through the Endless Archive, the scale of rewards earned increases, and so does the probability of acquiring a set item. These Class Item Sets will be available in all weight classes (Light, Medium, and Heavy), which can influence their playstyle for their dedicated class.
