The Peacekeepers and the Survivors are two main factions in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. These two factions are in constant conflict to secure control over the city of Villedor. In order to achieve that they need to hold several key points throughout the city which provide vital resources and facilities, important for keeping the population alive in the harsh post-apocalyptic environment.
Being a game that emphasizes the importance of choices and consequences of the decisions you've made, about several hours into the game you will need to make a choice in regards to these factions - which one will become your ally?
Given that Dying Light 2 uses autosave and has only one save file, such big decisions might be rather stressful for many players, as they are not sure which choice is better and once they make up their mind, there's no turning back.
Here's what you need to know.
Align with Peacekeepers or Survivors in Dying Light 2?
Choosing your alignment in Dying Light 2 should really not be as stressful as it might look at the first glance. While it does seem like a major moment in the game, it actually has more to do with how would you like to play the game.
The City Alignment menu is the place where you will choose your alignment, and you can access it via the map, by zooming all the way out.
From there, you will have an option to assign some key infrastructure to one of these two factions, such as electricity or water supply.
Minor spoilers, but this decision has almost no impact on the main story, which will play out more or less the same no matter which faction you choose to align with, so that should not be a factor when you make a decision about this.
The only important thing here are the bonuses and upgrades you will be bestowed with by these factions if you support them.
For example, the Peacekeepers will set up various traps all around the city, while the Survivors will install things like ziplines and other items that will make your free running easier. Asides from these upgrades, there are also some hidden rewards that will be given to you by a faction whose cause you support.
And that's the only important thing you need to know when you are pondering about aligning with the Peacekeepers or the Survivors. In the City Alignment menu, you can see all the rewards you will be given from both factions. And you can decide based on these rewards what you need the most and what supports your playstyle better.
And there you have it, now you know all you need to know before choosing to align with the Peacekeepers or the Survivors.
