Dying Light creators, Techland has been preoccupied with the franchise's tenth-anniversary celebrations, which they outlined last month in multiple posts on social media and the game's website. This was all compiled in an Anniversary Celebration roadmap, which included new content and features, events, game adjustments, and extra goodies that players can explore in both Dying Light games across all available platforms.

The Anniversary Celebrations, which are in their third week, will include more Bounties for Pilgrim Outpost and the Light Up the Night Twitch livestream, which was broadcast on 19th February 2025, where players could challenge members of the development team. A new permanent game mode for Dying Light 2 was also revealed in the roadmap in which players can put their survival skills to the ultimate test, which is now available to experience in-game.

Can you rise to the top of the tower with a team or solo, using your wits and survival skills? That's the challenge proposed to players as the Tower Raid mode has launched permanently for Dying Light 2 as part of the tenth Anniversary celebrations of the Dying Light series.

This new permanent game mode, accessed from the Main Menu, finds players raiding multiple floors within the tower, clearing enemies, acquiring valuable loot, and testing their survival skills in the hopes of summiting the tower. Players can challenge themselves as a solo player or in a four-player co-op featuring four different classes: Brawler, Ranger, Specialist, or Tank, each class equipped with unique skills to master.

Tower Raid is available in three difficulties, Quick, Normal, and Elite, which provide unique gameplay experiences and, according to the developer, have "an impact on the duration of the play." No Tower raid run is the same as each difficulty "presents a new mix of floors and challenges" to ensure that every raid is as dynamic "with every attempt."

Players will be significantly rewarded for every Tower Raid run as a progression system is in play, allowing players to unlock new abilities, equipment, and tools each time they've been defeated to help their chances of rising to the challenge the tower presents to them. In addition to the progression system, there is a Trader within the Raid Hub players can visit who offers more unique rewards, which the developer stated include the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol.
