Is Dragon's Dogma 2 New Save Game Possible?
We are just going to pull off the bandaid right now. There is no way to start a new save game in Dragon's Dogma 2.
You must live with every single decision you make, as there's no way to start a new save, and even the act of save-scumming it out of the question. You can only load from the last time the game was saved or from your last rest at an inn. That's it. This design decision is, alongside microtransactions, one of the reasons Dragon's Dogma 2 is getting review-bombed at launch.
I did like the idea of all player choices being permanent. Every decision, from the voice tone of your main pawn to either helping an NPC or outing them to a city guard, carries weight rarely found in other RPGs.
There is always a possibility that the developers could add a way to create a new save and start from scratch in a future Dragon's Dogma 2 update...but I won't hold my breath. It is, after all, part of the immersive experience of the vast fantasy world.
Deleting Your Dragon's Dogma 2 Save File & Location
You might be wondering: "What if I delete my Dragon's Dogma 2 save game?" Won't that help? PC gamers have, over the years, tinkered with a tonne of options, deleted their games' settings files and then manually reset everything.
Well, no, not even deleting your Dragon's Goma 2 save file located in \STEAM\userdata\NUMBER\2054970\remote\win64_save will work, even with the Cloud Saves feature turned off.
Your character's appearance and progress are saved on Capcom's servers, and nothing you do (that we've found so far) will help you create a new save game in Dragon's Dogma 2.
