Cyberpunk 2077 Keeps Crashing: Solution How To Fix

The wait is over, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally here!

But, unfortunately, the game's release is followed by numerous problems and issues.

While developer CD Projekt RED didn't want to postpone the game for the fourth time, now it seems that could have actually been a good thing for the game.

The game seems rushed and released without proper testing and polish, with numerous bugs and glitches, but also with a lot more serious issues.

Besides bugs and glitches, players are reporting poor optimisation on both PC and consoles, and even the high-end PCs have problems to run the game smoothly and with enough FPS.

If you are having troubles with performance, you can try this FPS and performance fix for Cyberpunk 2077.

While bad performance is a huge problem on itself, the fact that many players are having constant crashing issues with Cyberpunk 2077 is much more serious.

If Cyberpunk 2077 constantly crashes on your PC, and you want to get rid of those crashes, we have a few solutions you can try to fix it.

Unfortunately, currently, there are not solutions that will work 100% because the game is simply broken and CD Projekt RED will need to release an update that will fix all the problems, hopefully as soon as possible.

But there are a few things that you can do in order to at least reduce the number of crashes and remove some causes of crashes.

If you have an Nvidia graphics card, make sure to have the latest drivers installed. Nvidia has released the latest drivers on 9th December specifically for the Cyberpunk 2077 and those drivers are a must because they can fix many issues and if you are lucky enough, even make crashes to completely disappear.

How to install Nvidia drivers:

  1. Open Nvidia GeForce Experience
  2. Select the "Drivers" tab
  3. Click download
  4. When they are ready to be installed, click Install.
  5. When the installation is finished, restart your computer.

If this is not working, and the game still crashes, what else you could do?

If you play the game on Steam, try verifying game files.

  1. Open Steam
  2. Select Cyberpunk 2077
  3. Select "Properties"
  4. Select the "Local files" tab
  5. Click on "verify the integrity of game files" and let it do the work.

Finally, some players are reporting that they have deleted the game from the system completely and then download it again, and reportedly they are not having crashing issues anymore.

We can not confirm that this will fix Cyberpunk 2077 constant crashes, but if all the other options won't work for you, then you might try this one as well.

Hopefully, some of these solutions will help you, at least temporarily, until the update is ready to fix all the major problems.
