CDPR Announced Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition For Mac Systems Launching In 2025

Listen up, Chooms! The "world of the dark future" of Night City is getting a massive performance and visual bump thanks to the "advanced technologies of Metal" as Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Mac systems.

Developer CD Projekt RED (CDPR) announced their plans to bring Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition to the Apple ecosystem across multiple channels alongside the official post on the Cyberpunk news site this past week. Unfortunately, that's all we got from the Polish devs as a release date was not confirmed; however, they've given a 2025 release window, which we'll update this page when a release date is announced.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, currently available on consoles and PCs, is at long last bringing the ultimate Cyberpunk gameplay experience to Apple Mac PCs in 2025. Recently at the Apple October Event, the major tech company introduced a new family of chips, the M4, which powers the new Mac Mini and Macbook Pro, available for physical and digital retail starting this November, and pre-orders have gone live this week.

"Taking full advantage of Apple silicon and advanced technologies of Metal, the world of the dark future is available to Mac gamers for the very first time. Players can enjoy advanced features like path tracing, frame generation, and built-in Spatial Audio for even more immersive gameplay and stunning visuals," CDPR stated in an announcement post.

Apple Mac owners can anticipate getting Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which includes the base game, and the Phantom Liberty expansion from the Mac App Store and through the Steam PC client. "Everyone at CDPR is thrilled to bring this open-world RPG to the Mac, and we are also eagerly looking forward to the future of our games on Apple silicon,” CDPR Joint CEO Michał Nowakowski stated in an official statement.

Players who have yet to experience the vibrance and immersive world of Night City can get Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PCs via Epic Games Store, GOG.com, and Steam. A release date for its Mac App Store release has yet to be announced as of writing.
