How To Get Resin In Conan Exiles?
Resin is a gluey substance produced by trees to protect them from a vast range of illnesses and harm inflicted on their trunks and branches. This substance can be used in various applications; however, acquiring it can be pretty complicated.
This is because not all trees throughout The Exiled Lands will provide you with resin, as it's limited to a handful of locations. More specifically, you'll want to locate trees in the Highlands (E9/10 - I8) and Tundra (A11/12 - D9/10) biomes as you'll stand a better chance of farming resin in these areas, especially when it's harder to get.
How To Farm Resin, Fast
To farm resin, you can utilize either the pick or a pickaxe to obtain resin, and any rarity or grade of pick or pickaxe can be used. It's worth mentioning that using a pickaxe has been known to give you less resin than a pick, so if you need resin, we advise using a pick in your farming route.
Perhaps the best method for acquiring resin is when using the Dryer structure and placing wood planks on the rack. Doing this will turn the wood into bark and resin before utilizing the resin in various crafting uses.
One of the more prolific ways resin is used is when making Tar which requires resin and Raw Ash, but it can also be utilized for producing Insulated Wood at the carpenter's bench. Additionally, the resin is one of the resources needed for making specific dyes like Ash, Muted Brown, and Tan dyes when combined with the Water-filled Glass Flask and Tar, in the case of the Tan Dye.
Resin is also used in the production of Resin Wine, a concoction brewed in the Fermentation Barrel and known for warming the body, especially on cold days. Lastly, if you intend to enjoy a relaxing day fishing, the resin can be used to craft various fish traps, specifically the Improved Fish and Shellfish Traps.
