The trailer for the next Apex Legends character, Revenant, has been released by Respawn Entertainment ahead of the battle royale's fourth Season.
Revenant was once the greatest hitman the Syndicate ever had. But when his programming failed, he saw what Hammond Robotics had turned him into. Hammond Robotics' return to the Outlands has renewed his thirst for vengeance, and he won’t stop until they’re all dead. pic.twitter.com/bYnudFf5C4

Revenant appears to have the ability to sharpen his robotic hands into a sharp dagger-like weapon and an ability that allows him to become a burning shadowy figure still able to deal heavy blows to any that oppose him on his mission.
While Forge, real name James "Jimmy" McCormick, was the initial Legend announced for release with Season 4 next month, the character was surprisingly killed off before he could debut by none other than the unnatural assassin Revenant himself.
Forge will likely make an appearance in future as his addition was known about for some months due to dataminers finding his name and abilities. In fact, this curiousity is what might to have led to Respawn's decision to kill off the brawler to surprise fans at a time where they believed they knew all of the information that was coming.
Players will have to wait until the start of Season 4 to find out more including whether or not Forge is dead forever or set to come back to life thanks to Hammond Robotics innovation.
Instead, it will be Revenant dropping into Kings Canyon and World’s Edge from 4th February when Assimilation drops.
While his abilities are not known, further datamined leaks suggest he will possibly have the following three skills in his kit:
- Mark for Death: Fires a poison dagger. Press again to reveal the target's location for 60 seconds
- Infiltrator: You crouch walk faster and climb walls higher
- Silence: Throw a device that disables enemy abilities for 10 seconds
