Respawn Entertainment has started to share the first exciting details about the content we can expect to come with Apex Legends Season 11, also known as “Escape”.
This announcement has brought many surprises for many community players, who have witnessed the unveiling of a new cyber-looking legend from Titanfall 2, as well as the addition of a new Battle Royale map for the first time since Season 7.
Let's check out everything we know for now around Season 11, Escape.
Season 11 New Legend: Ash
The arrival of this legend to Apex has brought many questions for everyone, after her initial reveal in the animated trailer of the season, where together with Bangalore, she faces the rest of the teams and flee from some of the new dangers.
Originally introduced in Titanfall 2 as one of its antagonists, Dr Ashleigh Reid or Ash is a Simulacrum Pilot whose original body was so heavily damaged, her mind had to be transferred to a robot body.
After being part of the Apex Predators and subsequently, serving as the Vinson Dynamics' field commander and primary liaison for mercenary Pilots, she made a reappearance in Apex Legends as an NPC and as the announcer for Arenas mode.
As for her abilities, with her Arc Snare she will throw a spinning snare that damages and tethers the first enemy who gets too close. Her passive “Marked For Death” allows her to show the location of recent deathboxes and mark surviving attackers, and her ultimate “Phase Breach” can tear open a one-way portal to a targeted location.
Season 11 New Map: Storm Point
For the first time since the addition of Olympus back in Season 7, a new map will be available for the game’s Battle Royale, featuring a wide variety of diverse locations, from tropical island hopping to giant mountain slides that allow you to play higher than previous maps. Introducing Storm Point.
Located on the planet Gaea, Storm Point is a long-forgotten IMC research base, around an area 15% bigger than World's Edge, meaning this will be the largest map to date.
The new map will incorporate several new mechanics such as the Gravity Cannons, an excellent method to outrun the ring that launches you to a pre-determined direction. You will also have complete control of your weapons, grenades, tactical abilities, and ultimates when travelling through the air.
New, dangerous wildlife is coming to the map, thanks to the Wildlife Nests. In these places, you will find incredible loot options, but also aggressive creatures that will try to hunt you down as soon as they see you.
There are also many locations to discover, all with unique and diverse gameplay styles designed for competitive and casual players.
Season 11 New Weapon: C.A.R. SMG
As part of the new season, players will be able to enjoy a new kind of weapon with the power of the C.A.R. SMG.
According to Respawn, this flexible weapon will be the gun for when you're ready to take a stand and become the last Legend still standing, and like Ash, this weapon was also featured among Titanfall 2, being ideal for defending a position and hold on to the end.
Last but not least, there are also some changes coming for the ranked system, together with a new Battle Pass, and as always, balance updates for some of the legends. More details about this SMG and its stats will be released as the season launch approaches.
Apex Legends Season 11 “Escape” will be released on 2nd November.
