When you're just getting started in 7 Days to Die, you'll need to set up a base with everything you need to stay alive. Something you'll definitely need to do is place a Bedroll so you can sleep - in fact, it's even one of the first quests in the game - but how, exactly, do you do that?
How To Use The Bedroll in 7 Days To Die
To place the Bedroll in 7 Days to Die, you'll need to find an open space for the Bedroll. You'll need to make sure it's at least 2-blocks high, and make sure that you're not standing too close to the spot where you're placing the Bedroll (since your body's hitbox can interfere with its placement). There can't be anything blocking the ground where you'll place it, either.
Thankfully, finding a place to put the Bedroll shouldn't be too tough since the item isn't too large.
Once you've found a place to put the Bedroll, you can place it down. This requires a few simple steps. First, to place a Bedroll, move the item from your backpack to your toolbar. You can then press right-click to place it, and left-click to rotate and change its position.
If you're having trouble placing your Bedroll, or the item is red instead of green when you try to place it, try moving a few blocks away and trying again. The item placement in 7 Days to Die can be a bit finicky at times, so double-check that nothing is in your way and that you aren't standing too close to where you plan on putting the item.
