In 7 Days to Die, you're able to leave your mark on the world in a variety of ways; one of those ways is by writing on signs. When you have a sign, you're able to put whatever text you want on it - whether you want the message to be silly, or just a way to mark different locations, signs are very versatile items in 7 Days to Die. Here's how to write on them so you can leave your message.
How To Craft a Sign In 7 Days to Die
To write on a sign in 7 Days to Die, you'll have to, of course, find a sign that you can leave your mark on. Thankfully, you have several options, as there are both Wooden Signs and Metal Signs in 7 Days to Die. There are three types of Wooden Signs you can write on: the Wooden Sign 1x1, 3x1, and 5x2. These and the Metal Signs are the only items in the game that you can write on, but any size of Wooden Sign or Metal Sign will work.
To craft a simple Wooden Sign, you'll need 10 Wood and 10 Nails. Metal Signs, on the other hand, can be found at POIs. If you need a sign quickly, it's probably faster to just craft one yourself.
How To Write On Signs In 7 Days To Die
Once you've found or crafted your sign, you can place it and write on it. Simply put the sign where you'd like it to be, and walk up to it. From there, you can press 'E' (or another key if you've changed your bindings) to write on the sign. You'll have space for two lines of text on any sign, so while you can't write paragraphs, you should have plenty of room to express yourself. To be exact, you can fit 35 lowercase letters, or 10 uppercase ones, per line.
Now that you've written on a sign, anyone playing with you will be able to read it and see it. This makes labeling signs a great way to keep track of smaller POIs, or even just label your camps, outposts, or farming areas. As you build up your base in 7 Days to Die, you'll likely want to craft even more signs to keep things organized and help friends find key locations.
