E3 2019: Everything Nintendo announced

Nintendo took up their usual slot at E3 on Tuesday, June 11, bringing out the big guns to show that they’re still a force to be reckoned with.

Have a look at everything they announced, every update to come and all the trailers you could muster.

The Witcher 3 announced for Nintendo Switch

  • The complete Edition is heading to Switch, featuring both expansions – Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine
  • Will be available sometime later this year

Animal Crossing

  • Officially has a name: Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  • Date has been pushed back to March 20, 2020

Cadence of Hyrule

  • Launches June 13, 2019
  • Made by the same team as Crypt of the Necrodancer, incorporating much of the features of Crypt

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

  • The Spyro Reignited trilogy will also be coming to Nintendo Switch, launching September 3
  • Features the first three Spyro games: 1998’s Spyro the Dragon, 1999’s Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage (aka Gateway to Glimmer), and 2000’s Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games

  • Announced to be exclusive on Nintendo Switch this November
  • Will celebrate the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan

Contra Rogue Corps

  • Planned for September 24 release
  • Solo play or multiplayer (both online and local)

No More Heroes 3

  • Launching some time in 2020
  • Features Travis Touchdown as the last hero left, fixed with a big new sword and an armoured suit. He might be the only hero we need

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

  • The game takes place on the continent of Fódlan. The landmass is divided into three rival nations who are now at peace… apparently
  • Releasing July 26, 2019

Zelda: Link’s Awakening

  • Release date September 20
  • The upcoming Zelda title will feature a new dungeon-creator mode, allowing players to create their own dungeons to explore on their adventures

Luigi’s Mansion 3 gameplay

  • No release date confirmed yet
  • First time we’ve seen gameplay

Smash Ultimate DLC characters

  • Banjo-Kazooie finally getting the respect they deserve
  • Coming in Summer 2019

Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel

  • One of the greatest games of this generation is getting a sequel
  • Game currently in development but there is no more info available

The rest

  • Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition in Autumn 2019
  • Seiken Densetsu 3 remake Trials Of Mana coming in 2020 for Nintendo Switch
  • Resident Evil 5 and 6 ports coming to Switch
  • Daemon x Machina to be released September 13
  • Panzer Dragoon remake
  • Contra Anniversary Collection available from the Nintendo eShop now
  • There was a new Ultimate Alliance 3 trailer
  • Alien Isolation coming to Switch
  • More Astral Chain
  • Pokemon Sword and Shield will work with Poke Ball Plus
