World Cyber Games

The World Cyber Games is an esports event run by South Korean company World Cyber Games Inc. The event was positioned as a digital analogue to traditional sporting events; in particular, The Olympics, which the WCG sought to emulate. The initial run of the WCG was between 2001 and 2012, after which it was discontinued.

However, in November 2017, it was announced that the World Cyber Games would return. The 2018 edition is set to be hosted in Bangkok, Thailand from April 26 to April 29. As for details on the games: Clash Royale, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2 and Heroes of Newerth have already been confirmed, with more titles to be announced in the future.
