Thanks to the ongoing and fruitful partnership between Sky Broadband and Guild Esports, "The Lobby" is an exciting prospect,  elevating women across all levels of gaming. At its core, The Lobby is a comprehensive series of gaming events and opportunities, all dedicated to women in the gaming community.

The Lobby, powered by Sky Broadband, is an always-on home for women in gaming. Its base of operations is the excellent Sky Guild Gaming Centre in Shoreditch, East London. Here's what you need to know!

The Lobby will feature takeover events at the venue, esports tournaments,  casual events, and grassroots competitions. Esports titles include EA FC 25, Sim Racing, and Fortnite, to name a few.

Participants can compete with the best in the business, elevate their streamer set-ups, power up their gameplay, or even just "chill with like-minded women." The Lobby is full of opportunities, with a creative facility and live events for women in gaming to connect—and compete!

Merika Vine, the Head of Partnerships at Guild, explains:

The Lobby is more than just a series of events – it's a space built with and for the women in the gaming community. Together with Sky Broadband, we want women to have the visibility, support, and opportunities they deserve within gaming & esports.

The Lobby was designed with input from the community at heart to engage with women across the entire gaming space. Features of The Lobby include:

  • League: Qualified players will compete for a £50,000 prize pool under four team
captains from the gaming community - Cadaea, Ebonix, Harrie, and Sunpi - across
    multiple game titles.
  • Lobby Live: In-person gaming experiences and events at the Sky Guild Gaming
    Centre, bringing the community together.
  • Game Days: Nurturing aspiring gamers and grassroots talent through open-access
gaming events in a relaxed setting with professional coaches and state-of-the-art
    tech.
  • Studio: Providing a space for streamers and mid-core gamers to create content and
    upskill consistently.

The first "Lobby Live" event will begin at the Sky Guild Gaming Centre on 3 April 2025. We hope to see you all there, competing and enjoying all the activities on offer.
