Eternal Fire Roster Now Under Aurora Banner As Entire Squad Moves

As a rather unexpected move, the Serbian organization Aurora Gaming benched their entire Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports roster, and acquired the Turkish roster of Eternal Fire in one big swoop on Saturday, 5 April 2025.

The roster, led by Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli and with the iconic rifler İsmailсan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş as the star player, has been in excellent form, performing at the very top of S-Tier CS2. At the time of writing, they are 5th on HLTV's Global Rankings and Valve's Global Rankings.

Alongside the roster of fantastic players, Aurora also acquired coach  Sezgin "⁠Fabre⁠" Kalaycı, keeping the entire winning formula in place.

Aurora Gaming made the announcement on social media, which came as a bit of a shock for many fans, as it was during the opening stage of PGL Bucharest 2025.

Today we are happy to announce the beginning of a new milestone.

The Turkish organization took to X to tweet about their journey, stating:

In 2021, we took our first step on this journey with big dreams and with our Counter-Strike roster. We were determined to build our own path, leave a mark on the scene, and make Türkiye’s name heard on the global stage.Since that day, we’ve shared victories and heartbreaks together, always as one. It’s impossible to forget the moments we made history as the first Turkish team to reach the top 5 in the world rankings.Today, we’d like to tell you that our CS2 roster has officially transferred to Aurora.

To finish off the announcement, Eternal Fire noted how while the CS2 team is how the organization was born, this isn't goodbye, hinting at the possibility of a new roster. They then thanked the coaches, players, and everyone else involved since its inception in 2021.

We can't wait to see how the squad performs under the Aurora Gaming banner!
