How To Update Tears Of The Kingdom On Your Nintendo Switch?
To install the latest game update for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players must have a stable internet or Wi-Fi connection and likely ensure their console has the latest software installed. Bear in mind that the software update may take a while to install, so do be patient for the update to complete downloading the latest update to your Switch console.
With your Switch console connected, scroll to the game you wish to update from the Nintendo Home page and press the plus/cross button on your console. This brings up a pop-up menu where you can select the “Software Update” option and the “Via the Internet” option.
This will scan for the latest game update, followed by the update starting the installation process. This will take a couple of minutes, and once it’s complete, the game will be updated and appear on your Home page with the updated version on the game’s title screen.
It’s important to note that your game Save Data will still be available to access once the update has been completed, but you can back up the game files by saving them to the cloud before updating the game. The steps mentioned above can be voided if you have enabled the Auto-Update setting from the System Settings under the System tab.
However, should your Switch console have low storage capacity, you can free up the internal storage by deleting games off the console or archiving it. Likewise, you can expand your storage capacity by acquiring a compatible microSD card and moving smaller-sized games, screenshots, and videos to the microSD card.
