The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is absolutely filled to the brim with various different armor sets that you can collect. Tears of the Kingdom is a game where your armor set will have a huge effect on how you play the game. There are some armor sets that protect you from the weather while others protect you from certain types of damage.
One of the earliest armor sets that you can get in Tears of the Kingdom is the Hylian Set. The Hylian Set does not offer too much protection, but it is much better than going out with no armor at all. One piece of this armor set is the Hylian Hood that you wear on your head. Although the hood looks good, you might want to take it off. Here, we will teach you how to lower the Hylian Hood.

How To Lower Link's Hylian Hood
Unfortunately, lowering the Hylian Hood in Tears of the Kingdom is not as simple as going to the menu and hitting a button to lower the hood. It is actually a long and involved process if you are interested in lowering the hood. To start, you will want to make your way to Hateno Village which will be the start of this quest.
You will need to start by talking to the NPC named Cece. From there, you will start a large questline that will determine the mayor of Hateno Village. You will need to completely finish out the various mayoral-related quests that come from the Hateno Villagers. After you are done, you will want to talk to Cece and she will give you a reward for finishing the quests. After you get her reward, talk to her again with your Hylian Hood on. She will ask if you want to take off the hood and now you can lower your Hylian Hood.
Can You Put The Hylian Hood Back Up After Lowering It?
Once you have the Hylian Hood lowered by talking to Cece, the lowered hood will remain the default look you will have. You can take off the hood completely, put it back on, and it will be lowered. But sometimes, you will miss the look of the hood up so yes, you can put the Hylian Hood back up.
All you need to do is talk to Cece again and she will suggest raising the Hyilan Hood. Oblige and you will have the Hylian Hood back to its original state. It is a long process to simply lower the Hylian Hood, but that is the price you have to pay for fashion in Tears of the Kingdom.
