How To Get Tears Of The Kingdom Custom Icons Elements

Nintendo has an incentive program for those who own a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to receive unique rewards. You can earn these rewards by completing the required missions to earn My Nintendo Platinum Points, which can be redeemed for these rewards.

To celebrate the global launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the publisher has released a wave of Icon Elements for players to display in their user icons. This guide details how to get the Tears of the Kingdom-themed Icon Elements and the missions to complete.

How To Get Custom Icons Elements For Tears Of The Kingdom?

With the launch of Tears of the Kingdom on Switch consoles globally, Nintendo has revealed new rewards for players to acquire. These Zelda-themed Icon Elements are available when utilizing the Nintendo Switch Online services, including online play or saving your game files via the cloud.

In doing so, you’ll earn My Nintendo Platinum Points, which can be redeemed for custom Icon Elements based on Tears of the Kingdom. These Icon Elements include characters, backgrounds, and icon frames to personalize your user icon and show your love for all things Zelda.

The first wave of Zelda Icon Elements is available from 11th May 2023 until 18th May 2023 at 6 pm PT | 9 pm ET. The second wave is available between the 18th to 25th May 2023 at 6 pm PT | 9 pm ET.

Earning My Nintendo Platinum Points can be earned by completing the Nintendo Switch Online Missions for which we have provided the list of missions and their respective rewards:

• Play any software that supports online play once a week through Nintendo Switch Online: 30 My Nintendo Platinum Points
• Play a Game Trials software: 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points (if available)
• Play Super Mario Kart (SNES version): 50 My Nintendo Platinum Points
• Use the Nintendo Switch Online app once a week: 20 My Nintendo Platinum Points
• Use the “Save Data Cloud” feature: 20 My Nintendo Platinum Points

After completing any or all these missions, you can navigate to the Nintendo Switch Online home page and scroll down to the “Missions & Rewards” tab. Here you can select any unique Icon Elements you wish to redeem and personalize your user icon.

These Icon Elements are available for a limited time as they reset every Thursday at 6 pm PT | 9 pm ET and Friday at 1 am UTC. These Zelda-themed rewards will be issued to players until 25th May 2023 at 6 pm PT | 9 pm ET and 1 am UTC on 26th May 2023.
