Microsoft has confirmed the Xbox Series X will be released 10th November worldwide, priced $499/£449.

Pre-orders for the Xbox Series X go live on 22nd September, while you can also pay for the console for .99 for 24 months with Xbox All Access.

This comes shortly after Microsoft confirmed the pricing of their cheaper, less powerful console, Xbox Series S, which is priced $299/£249 and releases on the same day.

The Xbox Series X boasts 12 teraflops of power, 1TB custom SSD, and supports up to 120fps and 4K visuals.

It’s still unknown when Sony’s PlayStation 5 will release, although it’s expected to be in the same month.

With Microsoft now showing their hand, it might not be long until Sony finally shows its cards for the PlayStation 5 price.

Xbox All Access

The Xbox All Access program let's players buy a Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S through a monthly plan. It will be available in 12 countries around the world, and will be rolled out to more in 2021.

The available countries and stores you can purchase Xbox All Access are as follows.

  • Australia at Telstra
  • Canada at EB Games
  • Denmark at Elgiganten
  • Finland at Gigantti
  • France at FNAC
  • New Zealand at Spark
  • Norway at Elkjøp
  • Poland at Media Expert
  • South Korea at SK Telecom
  • Sweden at Elgiganten
  • UK at GAME and Smyths Toys
  • United States at Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Microsoft Store, and Walmart

Xbox All Access also gives you 24 months of Xbox Games Pass Ultimate - giving you access to a huge library of titles from the get-go and Xbox Games Studios titles, like Halo Infinite, when they release.

While Microsoft has tailed behind Sony in the current next-gen race sales wise, this seems like an excellent way to bring aboard new players in the current climate - with Xbox Games Pass alone widely recognised as the best value proposition in gaming.
