The Outer Worlds 2 Xbox Showcase Gameplay Reveal Countdown

The Xbox & Bethesda showcase is coming up this Sunday, 11th June, but will The Outer Worlds 2 finally make another appearance? Will you get to see what's next from Obsidian? When Will The Outer Worlds 2 Release?

The Outer Worlds 2 was first revealed during E3 2021 with a cinematic trailer that featured no gameplay (though we can probably assume it'll play pretty similarly to the first Outer Worlds title). We haven't seen anything from the game since that announcement though, and we know that Obsidian Entertainment was working on Pentiment and is currently working on Avowed, so it could be a while before we actually get to play The Outer Worlds 2. If we had to guess, we probably won't get a chance to play this game until the very earliest 2025, possibly even later than that. It might not release until after Avowed, which could be quite a while. 

From what we know, The Outer Worlds 2 will be an Xbox-exclusive title (with PC support on Windows devices), so you won't be able to play this game on Switch like you can with the original game, which will disappoint a lot of people.
