Avowed is looking to fill that Elder Scrolls 6-shaped hole in the hearts of fans, as the Xbox exclusive promises fans plenty of roleplaying action. Obsidian Entertainment previously worked on The Outer Worlds, which many described as Fallout in space, so this should be another hit from these devs.
It looks like the game is meant to be replayed, with over 10 endings for fans to reach if they want to get the most out of this. Since this isn’t meant to be as long as Skyrim or Starfield, replaying the game should offer fans plenty of thrills.
Carrie Patel, the director of Avowed, told IGN that the amount of ending slides available is in the double digits. That’s plenty of reason to replay this RPG, even if the endings aren’t going to be any fancy cinematics.
Ending slides are going to be still images that are earned after completing the adventure, simply showing players what happens to their character. While it’s not the most imaginative way to end this game, the number of slides might encourage players to keep playing after one or two runs.
Avowed is scheduled for release on February 25, 2025, at the time of writing. Obsidian’s RPG will be available on Xbox Series and PC when it launches. Fans curious about Obsidian should check out the aforementioned Outer Worlds or Fallout: New Vegas.
