With the Royal Rumble now just weeks away, and official WWE 2K24 news expected around the same time, every little detail about the game is catching the attention of fans. The exact layout of the WWE 2K24 roster won't be confirmed until closer to launch, but we've learned of one WWE Hall of Famer getting an updated scan for the game. If there's one thing everyone can expect from WWE 2K24, it's Stratus-faction.
Trish Stratus gets new WWE 2K24 scan
A staple of the franchise for decades, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is due to get an updated scan in WWE 2K24. Trish Stratus first appeared in WWF No Mercy all the way back in 2000, and she's been in nearly three dozen different WWE video games since that debut.
While she was already part of the roster as of late and was expected as part of the WWE 2K24 roster, this news of an updated scan is exciting for the title as a whole. After a few small post-retirement appearances around WWE Evolution, a match at WrestleMania 39 was the spark that setoff a multi-month run for the WWE Hall of Famer.
In 2023, Stratus won the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles, defeated Becky Lynch at Night of Champions, competed in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and had an unforgettable Steel Cage Match with Becky Lynch at WWE Payback. That year apparently also included prep for 2024, as Trish Stratus' website confirmed a new scan was made for her WWE 2K24 model.
WWE hasn't been shy about setting up legends contracts as of late, as some stars are seeing new action figures released for the first time in years. If WWE is taking the time to create a new scan of Trish Stratus, it's likely that scans were done of other legends we haven't yet learned will be on the WWE 2K24 roster.
