Sensational Sherri joins WWE 2K24 roster as a wrestler, not just a manager

The next WWE 2K24 DLC is finally here with the Post Malone & Friends Pack, and a few names in it are making series history. This will mark the first time Post Malone has been featured in a WWE game, and The Headbangers are also making their WWE 2K debut. While she's been in the franchise as a manager before, WWE 2K24 will be the first time Sensational Sherri is a playable wrestler on the game's main roster.

Sensational Sherri, Post Malone, and more join WWE 2K24 roster

The second WWE 2K24 DLC pack of the year goes live today, and there's no doubt 9-time RIAA diamond-certified musician Post Malone is the headliner with an exclusive theme song by rising LA rock band Militarie Gun.

Sensational Sherri is actually making her third appearance in the WWE 2K franchise, having previously been in WWE 2K15 and WWE 2K16, but both of those times Sherri Martel was exclusively usable as a manager. While she's often most remembered for managing "Macho Man" Randy Savage or Shawn Michaels, Sherri was a very accomplished in-ring competitor wrestling some of her first big matches in the early 80s against AJW icons like Lioness Asuka, Jaguar Yokota, and Devil Masami. She later went on to be a World Women's Champion in the AWA, IWA, and WWE.

The last major WWE game to include The Headbangers was WrestleMania 2000 on N64, and this is the first time they've joined the mainline WWE 2K series. Lastly, Honky Tonk Man and his own legendary manager "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart return after last being part of WWE 2K16. The Post Malone & Friends Pack can be purchased separately on your platform of choice, but the WWE 2K24 Season Pass will score you both already released DLC packs and three more on the way later this year.
