Post Malone hand-picked young band for his WWE 2K24 entrance theme

The next WWE 2K24 DLC is arriving this Wednesday, and it includes the in-game debut of Post Malone as a playable character. With his entrance now revealed, we know that the award-winning artist chose to put the spotlight on a young up-and-coming band for his entrance theme. The easy move for a musician getting featured in a game like this would be to pick one of their own songs, but Post Malone has instead helped draw new fans to rising group Militarie Gun.

Post Malone picks Militarie Gun for WWE 2K24 entrance theme

The Post Malone & Friends Pack is set to go live this Wednesday, and the WWE 2K24 DLC is headlined by this year's soundtrack producer. Ahead of the release, WWE Games revealed a first look at Post Malone's full WWE 2K24 entrance on Twitter. They later confirmed that the exclusive theme was "picked by the man himself."

This isn't the first time a musician has taken the same kind of spotlight, with WWE 2K22 soundtrack producer Machine Gun Kelly seemingly launching this new tradition a few years ago. MGK's WWE 2K22 entrance used one of his own songs, and technically the same is true for WWE 2K23 soundtrack producer John Cena.

While he didn't have the same game development role, music icon Bad Bunny was also included in WWE 2K23 and used an edit of one of his songs for his entrance music. Post Malone has instead changed things up, and the spotlight now turns to rising band Militarie Gun.

First formed in 2020 when the pandemic began, Militarie Gun released a few EPs until finally dropping their debut album Life Under the Gun almost exactly on year ago. The group has been on tour almost nonstop since then with concerts and festival appearances in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Canada, France, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Portugal, all over the United States, and they're heading to Australia this week for a series of appearances into July.

The new song "GUN UNDER THE GUN (MFG)" by Militarie Gun has now premiered in the entrance preview, and it's out Wednesday (along with this new DLC) according to the band's Twitter. We've got more here on the other musical icons arriving in WWE 2K24 as part of the Post Malone & Friends Pack.
