As you get rolling in this year's game, one of the most effective things to master are the WWE 2K24 combos. While exactly what move you're delivering will vary from superstar to superstar, getting used to executing them will give you an edge in any match.
Here, we'll dig past the WWE 2K24 controls so players can learn how to best utilize combos in every match. If you're tired of being on the receiving end, this WWE 2K24 combos guide will also go over how to block and counter them.
WWE 2K24 Combos Guide (Light, Heavy, Grapple)
One of the best ways to build offense quickly in any WWE 2K24 match is combos, and executing them will require a good rhythm and some practice. As shown above, every superstar has their own individual combo sequences and moves assigned to them.
You can pause during any match and check under Combos to see what moves are at your disposal, but the patterns will stay consistent across all superstars. Every single combo starts with a Light Attack, and from there you will continue either a Light Attack, Heavy Attack, or a Grab to end with a grapple.
If you're creating a custom superstar and trying to decide what kinds of combos to use in their moveset, the most important thing will be having a quick light attack you like. Being able to strike quickly and start sequencing the combo is a huge help, as a slower light attack will increase the odds your opponent can strike before your combo begins to connect.
WWE 2K24 Combo Breakers, How to Block Combos
When it comes to stopping incoming combos, you'll need good timing and often a bit of luck on your side. Before we reach combo breaker territory, you do still wanna try to use Y or Triangle to reverse a move or hold it to block incoming strikes. If you fail to block the first Light Attack that begins their combo, it's now time to guess what kind of attack is coming.
Press the corresponding button for a Light Attack, Heavy Attack, or Grab based on what you think they're about to use. This will often be guesswork, but watching the way players move for different types of attacks can help you try and identify what's coming at you.
If you guess the input correctly and press it at the same time as their next combo strike, you'll execute a combo breaker. You can practice this timing in the WWE Performance Center tutorial, or sometimes the old "smash all the buttons and panic" trick does actually work out in WWE 2K24.
