After almost three full years since its release, Star Wars Battlefront 2 will get its final update called The Battle of Scarif.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is getting a final content update

The story of Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a strange one. From the huge marketing fiasco at the beginning, when people in beta realised how much of a pay to win is everything in the game, through the loot box controversy which sparked the mainstream interest for this problem, to becoming one of possibly the best Star Wars shooters out there, which is something even the hardcore haters of the game and Electronic Arts will confirm as true. And of course, how can we forget the infamous "a sense of pride and accomplishment" Reddit post, which became the most downvoted post in the history of the platform.

And now that story is coming to an end, as "the vision for Star Wars Battlefront II is complete," says Creative Director Dennis Brännvall.

The last free update is called The Battle on Scarif and it's coming to game on 29 April. It's the 25th free content update for the game and it is inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

"On April 29, we’re bringing the Age of Rebellion to Supremacy and Instant Action, introducing the high-agency battles on Hoth, Tatooine, Yavin 4, Death Star II, and – the highly requested location from Star Wars Battlefront (2015) inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – the tropical world of Scarif," says the official statement.

Scarif and Crait are both joining the Heroes and Villains game modes and Co-Op will see the addition of the MC85 Star Cruiser, First Order Star Destroyer, and Scarif. There are also new appearances Rey, Kylo Ren, and Emperor Palpatine, which will everyone get for free, as well as Darth Maul Old Master appearance, which you can get when you defeat 5,000 enemies. There's also Rey’s hooded look, which will be "awarded to anyone uncovering the mystery on Takodana".
