Castlevania season 4 confirmed by Netflix

It's not an easy task to make a movie or television series based on a video game. Many have failed, many more were mediocre at best, but only a few succeeded in doing it properly. And amongst those successful transitions from a game to TV screens, Castlevania sits on the very top.

The show initially aired in 2017 and quickly became one of the most popular animated series on Netflix. It's been highly praised for its beautiful animation, excellent voice acting, great narrative, and generally an overall complete experience. Succes and great reception of the first season naturally resulted in two more seasons. Season 3 has been released earlier this month, consisting of 10 new episodes, and without any spoilers, we can only say that we watched it all in one night - it was that good!

Season 3 ended with a lot of open narratives for future seasons, and while we were sure that Netflix would give us the new season, it's nice to see an official confirmation from them, which came this weekend - yes, we are getting season 4!

Unfortunately, that's the only thing we know right now, we don't know when it will enter the production, how many episodes will it have and the most important - when will come to Netflix. Previously, around a year and a half passed between seasons, so we can expect season 4 sometime around autumn 2021.
