Herschel "Guy" Beahm, better known by his internet persona Dr Disrespect, has just announced that he is officially entering (or rather returning to) the game development business, with his newly opened game studio, Midnight Society.
Earlier today, The Two-time teased fans with his new project, named Midnight Society, but without any other details about what that might be, which left fans theorizing what could possibly hide behind that name.
The guessing game is now over as Beahm has officially revealed Midnight Society to be a game development studio, which will, according to him, produce large-scale AAA games, with a focus on first-person shooters.
What games will Dr Disrespect's Midnight Society make?
The studio's core team is made of FPS veterans who have been working on AAA shooter franchises such as Call of Duty and Halo.
The four co-founders, as listed on the studio's website, are Dr Disrespect, Robert Bowling, Quinn DelHoyo, and Sumit Gupta.
Robert Bowling is Infinity Ward's former creative strategist and community manager and will serve as Midnight Society's studio head, while Quinn DelHoyo is a former lead sandbox designer at 343 Industries, the studio behind the Halo series.

Sumit Gupta is the founder and CEO of Boom.TV, a popular online platform for playing games, tournaments, and watching esports.
The Beahm himself worked as a mapmaker and level designer on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, having a hand in creating many of the multiplayer maps, before becoming a full-time streamer as his Dr Disrespect online persona.
According to the studio's official website, their first game will be a PvP title, with an aim to involve the community in the game's development.
"We flip the tables on the traditional video game development model and embrace the Day Zero Community," reads the announcement. "That means including our players - yes, you - from the earliest most inception. That could be testing reload times and recoil patterns in a firing range or jumping in for the first-ever PVP sessions."
For now, this is all we currently know about the studio and games they are planning on making, which the studio calls "the next best competitive multiplayer experiences," but these projects are probably still far too early in development, and we don't expect to hear more about them until at least mid-2022.
Author's note: We initially reported that Sumit Gupta, co-founder and CEO at CoinDCX, was one of the co-founders of the studio, while the actual co-founder is CEO of Boom.TV, Sumit Gupta. We apologize for our mistake.
