A week ago we've finally had a chance to see the world premiere of the new Assassin's Creed game, called Assassinâs Creed Valhalla.
We are going back to the times of Vikings, set in ninth-century England, where we play as Viking raider Eivor.
First gameplay from the game will be shown this Thursday, at Microsoftâs next Inside Xbox presentation. Maybe we will find out the release date then, but that's not sure at this point.
But maybe we already know a release date, thanks to the mistake of one small retail shop.
Reddit user u/Reqqu shared his story on Reddit, where he said that one local retail added Assassins Creed Valhalla up for pre-order and the release date was marked as 16 October 2020.
He even took screenshots and send them to subreddit mods, so that they can confirm that he is telling the truth, but he didn't want to share them publicly because he loves that store, and he doesn't want to make them harm because of their mistake.
The last three Assassin's Creed were all released in October, and all on Friday, which aligns with this leak. Release date of AC: Odyssey was 5 October 2018 (Friday), AC: Origins 27 October 2017 (Friday) and AC: Syndicate 23 October 2015 (Friday). And 16 October of this year is also Friday.
He acknowledges that the date might be just a provisional placeholder, but it does seem like it could be a real thing. Whatever it is we might probably find out more in two days, with the Inside Xbox presentation and Assassinâs Creed Valhalla gameplay trailer.
