Twitch Rivals Valorant Showcase: Schedule, Format, Teams & How-To Watch

The Valorant hype is entering overdrive and it is set to ramp up again today with an official unveiling on Twitch, before the start of the closed beta on 7th April.

Riot has partnered up with the streaming behemoth to host two tournaments featuring some of the biggest streamers - the first one up is the Twitch Rivals Showcase.

This will also be the first opportunity for would-be players to gain access to the beta, with drops happening as soon as the stream starts.

To be eligible for beta access you must, register for a Riot account and link it to your Twitch account.

Schedule

The Twitch Rivals Showdown is, in fact, two events - one featuring streamers from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and the other for North America.

Both will take place on Friday 3rd April.

Showdown EMEA: 5 pm GMT / 10 am PT / 1 pm ET
Showdown NA: 8:30 pm GMT / 1:30 am PT / 4:30 pm ET

Format

Teams in Valorant are comprised of five players, and that will be the case in this event. There will be able to watch 3 EMEA matches and 2 NA matches.

The EMEA matches will be best-of-one while the NA matches will be best-of-three.

These matches are pre-recorded but with live commentary provided from Dan Gaskin, Caleb Simmons and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez.

Players and Teams

As stated before, teams are comprised of five players, and there will be six teams from ESMA and four from NA.

The list of participants is a who’s who of the platform with DrLupo, Forsen, Cloakzy, OnScreen and Timthetatman all confirmed to be playing.
