In partnership with Riot Games, Skyesports has announced the much-awaited Skyesports Champions Series 2022, in which Valorant teams from the South Asian region will compete against each other for the trophy and a share of the $30,000 prize pool.
In addition to this, the top teams will also book their tickets to the VCT Stage 2 APAC Challenger. Skyesports has announced the complete details of the event, including its registrations, format, schedule, etc., and you can find everything below.
SCS 2022 start date and registrations
The first stage of SCS 2022, i.e., the open qualifiers, will begin on May 9, and its registrations are open till May 7 for all the eligible Valorant teams in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Bangladesh.
You can register yourself on the official website of SCS and make sure to apply as soon as possible, and get a chance to showcase your talent to the world.

SCS 2022 schedule and format
Skyesports Champions Series 2022 will take place in three phases. Phase 1 will be the open qualifiers in which all the registered teams will battle against each other for a slot in Phase 2 of the event, i.e., the Group Stage.
These qualifiers will be held separately for India and the rest of the South Asia region. The Indian open qualifiers will run till May 15, while the rest of the South Asia qualifiers will last till May 16.

In Group Stage, the top two teams from each qualifier will go against the top 8 seeded teams from Stage 1 SA Challengers in a Single Round Robin format. The group stage will run from May 19 to 24, and you can find the list of qualified teams below.

The squads will be divided into two groups, and the top 3 teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs, which will be a LAN event and will take place from May 31 to June 4.
The top 6 teams will go through a double-elimination format in the playoffs, and the top 2 teams will be the finalists; they will also qualify for VCT Stage 2 APAC Challenger.
The tournament's Grand Final will be played on June 5 in Chennai, India, where the champions will be crowned after a best of five-game.
