Valorant is undoubtedly one of the most popular FPS games featuring over 20 agents with unique abilities, and the list is regularly expanding. In addition to this, Riot is also actively working to keep the meta balanced by nerfing the overpowered agents and buffing the ones that they feel are a bit weak compared to the others.
Whether you are a new Valorant or an old one, it is essential to keep track of the balance changes so that you can choose the best agent to go with your team. This might not be possible for all players, and in that case, we have prepared the Valorant agent tier list based on the latest meta in the game below to help you make the correct decision.
Best Valorant Agent Tier List For Episode 7 Act 1
- S-Tier: These are the most overpowered agents in the game right now and are must-picks on most maps.
- A-Tier: These agents are perfectly balanced and go well with the current meta, and can be picked with almost any team.
- B-Tier: These can prove quite useful if you have picked suitable agents that go well with their abilities.
- C-Tier: If you have mastered these agents, they might be worth running, but better agents are available in the game.
Without any further ado, let's jump straight into the latest Valorant agents tier list below:
- S-Tier: KAY/O, Viper, Killjoy, Omen, Jett, Skye
- A-Tier: Brimstone, Breach, Raze, Yoru, Sova, Neon, Gekko, Killjoy, Fade
- B-Tier: Astra, Sage, Cypher, Chamber, Harbor, Deadlock
- C-Tier: Reyna, Pheonix
Valorant S-Tier Agents
- KAY/O, Viper, Omen, Jett, Skye
KAY/O and Skye are the best initiators right now in Valorant, as both of them can give tons of information about the opponents. Skye can heal her teammates quickly, and her ultimate, Seekers, can prove crucial in both attacking and defensive sides. On the other hand, KAY/O's Null/Cmd allows your team to revive him, and not only that, but it also suppresses the opponents preventing them from using any utilities, which is pretty helpful in retake situations.
Viper can block aggressive angles and smoke the entrances to put you in an advantageous situation while attacking. In addition to this, her Snake Bite lineups and ultimate are pretty useful in post-plant situations. Even though Jett's dash ability, Tailwind, received some changes, she is still the best duelist right now in Valorant, as she can get opening kills and rush into the site. If you combine her dash with the operator, it will be deadly, and her smokes can be used for her own advantage or to help her teammates.
Omen's smokes can not only block multiple angles but can also be a great hiding spot if you want some aggressive position. His Paranoia can blind opponents, and he can also teleport to sneaky positions, which can take opponents by surprise.
Valorant A-Tier Agents
- A-Tier: Brimstone, Breach, Raze, Yoru, Sova, Neon, Gekko, Killjoy, Fade
Brimstone is a great smoke agent and is easy to learn if you are a beginner. Apart from this, his Incendiary and Orbital Strike ultimate can be extremely useful in retakes and post-plant situations. Breach, on the other hand, is hard to master and needs good communication in the team, so bear that in mind, especially when you are solo queuing.
Raze would have been placed in S-tier, but after she got nerfed, her Boom Bot doesn't last long enough to clear an area, and not to mention, her ultimate, Showstopper, misses the target sometimes. Yoru and Gekko have unique designs and abilities; however, Yoru is hard to utilize correctly, and Gekko just feels slow sometimes. Fade can gather tons of information for the teammates, and her ultimate is excellent for retakes.
Sova and Neon might not be that effective in every map of Valorant, and hence they don't make it to S-tier; however, Sova's Recon Bolt and Hunter's Fury can be a deadly combination, especially in post-plant situations. Neon is great if you want to rush a site and can get some crucial kills by covering the map quickly. Killjoy has suffered a nerf with her Turret's HP getting decreased and ultimate's point cost getting increased, which has pushed her down to A-tier.
Valorant B-Tier Agents
- B-Tier: Astra, Sage, Cypher, Chamber, Harbor
Using Astra needs a proper understanding of the game and how to approach different situations, and hence, she is tough to master, and players are always drawn to pick some other agent; her pick rate is still good in the pro scene. After the recent nerfs that Sage's Healing Orb and Barrier Orb abilities got, she doesn't look that valuable; however, she is still a solid support agent because of her Slow Orb and her ultimate, Resurrection.
Harbor is one of the latest additions in Valorant, and his abilities can be effective in some selective situations; however, you will mostly find better agents to use. Apart from this, the biggest drawback is that his utilities affect his teammates as well, and hence, he has been placed in B-tier.
At last, Deadlock requires a lot of support, and her utilities can be dodged in an easier way. Her Sonic Sensor can only detect sound and thus, cannot be a viable option to use to hold the flank as the opponent might be walking without making any sound. However, her GravNet and Barrier Mesh are good utilities for both stopping the push and rushing on the site.
Valorant C-Tier Agents
- C-Tier: Reyna, Pheonix
While Reyna and Pheonix have been one of the most picked agents ever since Valorant got released, their pick rates have seen a decline as they provide little to no value to the team. If you are solo queuing, you can go with these agents; otherwise, you should go for better options in the game.
