Update: Now that the second part of season 4 has released, we know who's the character that dies in Stranger Things. True to the show's nature of introducing new cast members that end up kicking the bucket, Eddie has tragically been killed off in volume 2.
Original story
Stranger Things has slowly but surely turned into one of Netflix's most iconic properties, with the first part of the fourth season becoming their most-watched English-language show during June.
Hype is at an all-time high for the conclusion of the story that's seen Eleven, Mike, Hoppe, and the rest of the gang go their separate ways while dealing with one of the biggest threats Hawkins has seen: Vecna.
Death in Stranger Things is common, with plenty of characters being killed off across multiple seasons. However, with stakes higher than ever, fans wonder if any members of the main cast will kick the bucket when Stranger Things Season 4: Volume 2 premieres.
Who dies in Stranger Things season 4?
If you're reading this, we'll assume you're all caught up on the status quo of Stranger Things characters. With that said, Netflix has kept a very tight leash to avoid any spoilers. Still, that hasn't stopped users from speculating who could die.

The biggest candidate in many people's eyes, and much to the dismay of the entire fanbase, is Steve Harrington. The affable, sometimes whiny but always loyal character had a rough going during Season 4: Volume 1, and while he's no stranger to taking a beating, it might not end up well for Steve this time.
The Duffer Brothers have stated ad-nauseam how they sometimes regret killing off characters before they have time to shine or develop into something more. In Season 4 alone, they admitted to pulling the trigger on Chrissy too soon after seeing how much chemistry she had with Eddie.
As for Steve, his faith was sealed during Season 1 before the showrunners decided to keep him alive for future installments of the show. The decision proved correct as Harrington quickly became a fan favorite, stealing the show on more than one occasion thanks to his amazing back and forth with the main cast of characters until he eventually became one himself.
As we've mentioned, if you are looking to get the story spoiled, you're out of luck. However, if anything gets past Netflix's ninjas, we'll be sure to update the title accordingly.
