Netflix drops "supersized" episode list for Stranger Things 4

This transmission should not be ignored. Stranger Things fans were treated to exciting news this week as the streaming platform, Netflix, has finally lifted the lid on what viewers can expect from the show's fourth season.

Revealing that the latest season of Stranger Things is its "biggest" and most "supersized" to date, Netflix detailed the episode list and runtimes ahead of its release on 27th May 2022. How many episodes does Stranger Things 4 have?

As mentioned earlier, Stranger Things' fourth season is the most "supersized" season of any Netflix Original series. With less than a week away from the season premiere on the streaming platform, Netflix has released a detailed episode guide on the biggest season of Stranger Things.

The fourth season is split up into two Volumes, which will flesh out the stories and events leading up to a massive, climactic encounter in the concluding episodes. This season, there are nine episodes, with seven episodes featured in Volume 1 and two episodes in Volume 2.

The streaming platform released the official synopsis for the fourth season of Stranger Things, which gives viewers some idea of what the season entails.

"It's been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn't made things any easier."

"In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down."

Stranger Things 4 - Release date and schedule

Stranger Things Season 4 will premiere Volume 1 on Friday, 27th May 2022, with Volume 2 arriving on Friday, 1st July 2022. Both Volumes will air at 12 AM PT | 3 AM ET exclusively on Netflix, where viewers can catch up on the previous seasons ahead of Season 4's release.
