The delayed and long-awaited trailer for The King of Fighters XV is finally here, with developer SNK revealing a plethora of content in the works to mitigate the wait for its release, scheduled for this year.
In a video uploaded to their official YouTube channel, SNK revealed a quick clip of KOF XV in action, showcasing a noticeable graphical improvement over the previous title in the series, presenting a crisp new look at some classic fighters like Kyo Kusanagi, Mai Shiranui, Benimaru Nikaido, Leona, and more.

Conspicuously missing are two of the biggest icons in SNK's history, Terry Bogard and Iori Yagami. SNK has promised a new trailer will come out next week, with fans theorizing we'll see both, as well as more detailed gameplay.
Yasuyuki Oda, KOF XV producer, and creative director Eisuke Ogura, explained that they want to maintain the core elements of King of Fighters alive and well while teasing new mechanics, on top of this the visuals have been massively improved too, due to the hardware improvements and a bigger production budget.
"We're focusing on keeping the series' staple of being fast-paced while also adding elements to make it more exciting," Ogura stated.
If you want to take a look at the presentation, which included information on KOF IXV Ultimate Edition, the release of KOF 2002 Unlimited Match, and DLC for Samurai Shodown, you can do so on SNK's official YouTube channel.
