Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Comes Out Next April, Confirms Mai Shiranui
SNK

It’s been a good year for SNK fans, not only because Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui are in Street Fighter 6 but also due to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. After years of mostly getting King of Fighters games, SNK is finally returning to its roots with this new fighter, and the FGC can’t wait for it.

Luckily, City of the Wolves has a release date, so fans will know when to get this anticipated game. Alongside the release date, SNK has also revealed a great package deal for this game and its DLC, while also confirming a major fan-favorite.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on April 24, 2025. SNK also revealed the Special Edition, priced at $59.99 and comes with the first season of DLC characters. Those who pre-order the game can play it three days early and gain access to Terry’s Fatal Fury 2 costume.

City of the Wolves has also revealed that the beloved Mai Shiranui will be part of the base roster, temporarily retiring the “No Mai, No Buy” movement. Mai has a brand-new black outfit that many fans will adore. She is also rocking her more promiscuous classic costume because SNK knows its fanbase very well.

Other interesting details about the game include a brand-new RPG mode where players choose their favorite fighters, level them up, and take over parts of the city. There’s also an in-depth color editor for all characters, letting players edit everyone’s outfit colors to their heart’s content.

After over 20 years, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will finally continue Rock Howard’s story from Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Fighting game fans definitely won’t want to miss this fighter coming out next April.
