Stray Story Length - How Long To Beat?

Stray's story takes place in a futuristic city filled with robots as players take on the role of a stray cat, separated from its family on a quest to untangle an ancient mystery in a "long-forgotten" cybercity. 

This article outlines how many hours it should take to beat Stray's story without having to count those hours on cute beans yourself.

How long is Stray? Hours to complete

Stray isn't a massive game that will take dozens of hours to complete. As a single-player title following a unique story of a stray cat, players can expect to complete Stray in one weekend or one very long, furry gameplay session.

On Twitter, developer Annapurna Interactive revealed the following on how long it would take to beat Stray's story: "Around 8 hours long, longer for picking up all collectibles."

An average length of eight hours isn't bad at all, considering there are collectibles to find and other tasks to complete along the way. For example, one Trophy tasks players with finding all the music sheets and bringing them to Moresque, while another tasks players with collecting all of B-12's memories.

Average hours to beat/complete Stray can also be affected by player skill, the ability to sleep, rub up against robots, and more. We, therefore, expect players to take roughly double the time (16 hours) to Platinum Stray.

Interestingly, one Trophy called "I Am Speed" tasks players with completing Stray in under two hours, which hints and the possibility of speed runs.

Therefore, the time it takes to beat Stray could vary greatly, but the official word from the developers is "roughly" eight hours.
