Annapurna Interactive has officially announced that Stray will be coming to Xbox platforms.
The news came during last night's Annapurna Interactive Showcase, which also announced that Annapurna's first in-house developed game will be a Blade Runner title. Stray will release for Xbox platforms on August 10, but unlike the PS4/PS5 release it won't be available on Xbox's game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass.
Just last month an ESRB rating was spotted for the game, so this is official confirmation of something that we already expected to happen. It'll be interesting to see if the game ever releases on Nintendo Switch, or indeed if the Switch can actually run the game, but as of August the game will be available on every major platform other than the Switch.
The title is easily one of Annapurna Interactive's biggest games, with it getting multiple nominations during the 2022 Game Awards, and receiving several other nominations such as Best Debut at the Game Developers Choice Awards. It was also critically acclaimed at launch, so Xbox fans will be excited to get their hands on the title.
