During the eighth day of autumn of your first year in Stardew Valley, you'll receive a letter from Linus asking you to find his lost blackberry basket. There is no other way to obtain the quest other than to simply wait for your eighth day.

The letter reads: "Hello, It's blackberry season right now. The bushes are full of them. I want to pick some, but I lost my basket. Can you help? -Linus"

Once you receive it in your mailbox, just read it over and click 'Accept Quest.'

How to Find Linus's Basket in Stardew Valley

It isn't hard to find Linus's basket, but you'll need to go a little bit out of your way and take the bus. Here's where you'll need to go to get the basket, step by step.

First, go to Backwoods. You'll need to hop off the bus at the bus stop. Next, take the first left turn and walk until you reach a tunnel. Don't enter the tunnel. Instead, look right next to it. You'll find some blackberry bushes as well as Linus's basket; looks like he left it out here last time he was collecting blackberries! Collect the basket to pick it up.

Now that you have the basket in hand, all you'll need to do is return it to Linus. He is only outside during certain hours, so you'll need to make sure that you go see him at a time when he is available. He'll be happy to have his basket back, and you'll get some nice rewards in return for returning it.
