Hardwood is one of the most integral resources in Stardew Valley; you can use it for upgrading new equipment, making new tools, building new structures, and more. In fact, having a lot of hardwood in your inventory is one important key to advancing in the game since you'll use it for so many different recipes. But if you're new to the game or just starting out in your first season, you might be wondering where to find this helpful resource.
If you're having trouble getting or finding hardwood in Stardew Valley, we're here to help. Let's take a look at where you can find hardwood.
Where To Find Hardwood In Stardew Valley
While hardwood is one of the most important resources in Stardew Valley, it becomes increasingly hard to get later on. Here are the two main ways to get your hands on more hardwood to use on your adventures.
Find Hardwood On Your Own Farm
Once you first start out in Stardew Valley, you'll find that there are a lot of stumps and dead trees on your farm. All you need to do to get some hardwood is to approach them with your Axe and knock them down. You'll gain anywhere from 2 to 8 hardwood per stump or tree, so this is a good way to get your hands on lots of hardwood when you're first starting out.
Find Hardwood In The Secret Woods
Once you've exhausted all of the hardwood resources on your farm, you'll need to venture out a little further to get your hands on some. The best way to do this is to go to the Secret Woods, which is just northwest of Cindersap Forest. To get there, you'll need to cut through a single fallen log. After that, you'll able to go into the Secret Woods, where you can find a myriad of stumps.
In the Secret Woods, you can gain about 12 hardwood per day. This is nowhere near as many as you can get from locating hardwood on your own farm at the beginning of the game, though, so keep this in mind as you progress.
Now you know how and where to find hardwood in Stardew Valley. This is one of the most useful resources in the game, so get out there and use what you've found - and don't forget to save!
